Commitment to Pray Together at 9pm

During this tragic time, let us pray together as one. Set your alarm for 9pm every night to pray for our congregation and the world, for relief and healing from this plague. Pray for doctors, nurses and aides providing medical care, and for their health and well-being. Ask God to be with those who live in places where medical care is meager or nonexistent. Updating: This is now 2020

Greetings from 2020.  The last time I posted on here was 2018. Not going to delete those posts right now, because it is a good memory from another day.  So! I'm going to jump in the middle just to get up to speed as this blog has finally made it to the Navigation Bar of the official website of the First Presbyterian Church of Homewood.  ::smileyface::

I believe that I will be updating this blog much more frequently as the circumstances in our town / state change. So check back.  Thank you!

Today, March 17, it has been decided that First Presbyterian Church of Homewood will close the campus to all user groups, including but not limited to worship services, food service, outside support groups, committees, and Christian Education classes...obviously regarding concerns about the currently circulating COVID-19 virus.

We are anticipating that Easter Sunday we will enjoy being able to worship together again.  In the meantime, we will be using our skills to present audio versions of our church services which can be accessed from the First Presbyterian Church of Homewood website using the navigation menu "Sermon" at the top of the page … or from here: sermon which will be posted on Sunday.  We are hoping we can gather around with our cell phones and computers on Sunday, March 22, 2020 at about 10:30 a.m. to enjoy the virtual reality of knowing that others are out there listening, too.
